I myself was very very happy about California's wonderfulness too. I say that with detachment because I'm stuck out here in PA.. lol (although if my ex and her current gf had anything to say about it, I'd be living out there NOW). Anyway, good luck with everything and please do excuse my ramblings since it's way-too-early o'clock. ;)

The California decision is fantastic. It's exciting because California and New York tend to be our starting points for political change. I can see a lot more states making this decision in the near future and, even though I am not seeing anyone at all right now much less have anyone I'm wanting to marry, I am super excited that it could potentially be possible.

The only thing is though, at the moment when yous tep out of California you aren't married under the eyes of any other states law except (probably) Ma. But any victory is important. Makes me want to find someone to marry just so I can. lol

Very cool that you guys could take that step if you decide to. Exciting just to think there is a possibilty. Also, yay vacation! Beach Vacation at that! Have fun!

lol, yes. I love that they did that. I already said above that we might be waiting until it becomes recognized by other states, but we've already exchanged rings, and we've been living like a married couple for a long time now, so it really would be great to make it official, at least in one state.

VACATION! WOO! I just posted my hiatus announcement in the common room, heh. And actually, the beach thing is for Davey's benefit, he LOVES the beach. And the hotel we're staying at is going to be RIGHT on the beach - and I got us a great discount of almost $200 off. The rate was near $280 a NIGHT, I got it down to $99 a night. And I got a room with a jacuzzi, lol, AND. And. I was going to say something else, but my mind suddenly went blank. I HATE it when that happens.

Oh well. YES, vacation. God do we both need it. Maybe it'll give him inspiration for his comic, and maybe I can get him to just fucking RELAX and relieve some stress for a little bit. =)

I love the beach too. I grew up in Florida and spent the majority of my summers at the beach until I was old enough to drive and have a job. Then I worked every summer while my family went on vacation. But the beach is good fun. Although, I don't do super well in the sun. I'm extremely fair and so I burn rather easily. However, the beach just has such a relaxing feel. I love to hear the waves come in, I love to dig my toes in the sand and watch clams dig their way under the sand and make those little bubbles. I love to swim in the ocean and go snorkling. I could live without the sand that gets inside my swimsuit... but it's a sacrifice one makes easily when confronted with all that raw beauty and peacefulness ( ... )
