*hee* You + techno-panic = always of the funny. *snicker*
Okay - Dreamwidth was started from the same basic "foundation" (aka "computer code") as LJ. Therefore, especially now during early days, if you can work LJ, you can work DW.
Most people I know are using the same name. I did. Those who aren't using the same name are using the name they *wish* they'd gotten for LJ, but somebody else got it first. Plus a couple who just like to be different everywhere.
What was the journal name on the invite? (I bold-faced asked Alice if she had a spare code and she'd just gotten one in her email that she kindly sent on to me.)
It was Warlock. Who is jjjean65, I finally found out. Now how do you do names on Dreamwidth like how I just did jjjean65's name. You don't use [lj user=jjjean65] ...
Uh ... I dunno. I haven't had much time to play around with any journal/blog stuff for the last couple weeks - life is VERY hectic right now.
I do know that DW allows you to post something at your DW journal and automatically will then post it at any other journals (from other places) that you've "told them about" in the crossposting section.... Or, you know, something like that.

I just got an email! Someone invited me to join Dreamwidth! I don't even know who it is, so I must assume the journal name is someone I know...
I don't know what to do!
Do I give the new journal the same name?
I am so NOT computer savy... Will I be able to figure the new journal out???
HELP!!
