is it worth repairing the gearbox if you're just going to sell it?
I'd assume that since they sold for sweet fuck all new, they're resale value isnt exactly going to be very much. selling as is, for parts, or just trading in might be a better way to go.
I understand that you are pissed off, but in this case, wasn't the fault caused by Australians; those that work in the service centre, and those that make the local policy regarding service work.
unfortunately i think in the case of cheap korean cars, the best thing to do is get rid of them within 5 years of purchasing them. there's no way in hell i'm planning on still having my hyundai after that period of time! also, your car is automatic, right? automatics are faaaaaaar more troublesome than manuals :(
