Once again, it's been a while since I posted anything here, so I guess I'm due for an update.

Reading
The fifth or sixth Sookie Stackhouse novel. I can't remember which. I've been going through it at a very slow pace. The novels aren't bad, they just aren't compelling enough to make me want to burn through them.

I can't really say I love them, but mainly that's because one of the two is way too hyper and shriek-y. There are some teams I'm liking more or less than others, but no one I feel that strongly about yet. Well, except maybe for Nick and Vicky, just because their ignorance is comedy gold. "What country are you in right now?" "London?"

Thanks for the info about the podcast. I'm always looking for something interesting to listen to at work, and I haven't cared for most of the podcasts I've tried. The hostess you're talking about is Linda a.k.a. Miss Alli. She's on my FL on facebook and she frequently posts links to stuff she's written for the NPR culture blog.

Was wondering if you had got my email about the geek-out. Glad to hear it'll be happening.

Borderlands is great, and I played it to death the month after the apartment fire, when all I had was my laptop and a cheap motel room. Plus I really liked the zombie expansion. The Underdome... eh, not bad, but not as much fun.

Nice to see you're still alive. I was wondering what had happened to you.

Thanks. Now that I'm on Facebook, I don't come here nearly as often, and 95% of my activity on Facebook is playing games.

I have the zombie island/underdome expansions for Borderlands, but I haven't installed them yet. I know Underdome didn't get the best reviews, and had I read them beforehand, I might have skipped buying it. I still have to get the General Knox expansion, which I hear is pretty good.

I love that game way too much.
