Nobody puts Baby in a corner except the hostess

Saw Dirty Dancing for the first time this weekend. Somehow in all the years of hearing about the movie, i imagined the Baby Corner Putting incident as more dramatic. Like there was a jerk antagonist who said, "You'll never be good enough for this dance competition! You suck! Go sit in the corner!" Instead it was a polite dinner with family. Weird

Yeah, but the whole message was that the polite family dinner was all a LIE!!!!!! meant to repress the downtrodden hotel employees and their jailbait

Oh I dunno, her family seemed nice. I wouldn't be too upset about a three week family vacation where I get to run off and get laid with some flimsy excuse of a headache.
