I was passing by the TV last night and heard that same sentence, "We needed to learn to understand the Boston accent, since most of the witnesses were from there." I had to stop walking and say to the TV, "WTF?" Most people in America have no problem understanding the Boston accent. I'm sorry to hear the sad news about Franklin Park Zoo.

thanks. yeah. it was pretty weird that they had so much trouble understanding the accent. but my grandmother is like that too. of course she understands the boston accent cuz she is from here, but southern accents or british accents or whatever, she gets all confused. its weird.
