Man, I was so pissed that shit passed here and in Cali.
Made me feel kind of weird to be living in this state, but peoples are assholes everywhere I suppose...

It's just a setback really, a crazy fascist setback fronted by a 10% religious minority... That nom stuff is still pretty funny though regardless ;)

I suppose it's easy for me to say since pot is considered a crime still, which is also backwards thinking I feel.

i couldn't believe that passed in california. i was really surprised actually. i always think of california as being pretty open minded, but it is a big state i guess with a lot of areas where people are super religious. oh well. hopefully it'll be overturned

I've been watching a lot of Golden Girls lately (one channel plays episodes all night long.) I tried to tell a friend about how much they joke about sex on that show, and particularly lesbianism, and his response was, "Really? But they're old ladies!" I hope I'm that fiesty when I get older, and I'll still think gays have the right to marry, although hopefully 40 years from now, that will be like saying "I think women have the right to vote." It won't need to be said when it stops being controversial.

golden girls is a great show. i didn't really get it when i was little, because so much of it is about sex. it always makes me happy to watch golden girls and i have that channel too.

And I love the theme song! I think I didn't get the show either until I started watching it as adult. But, I also saw a movie as a kid & thought a guy was buying candy before his date, when it was actually condoms.

yeah, i also remember in the movie dirty dancing, i thought the woman who needed an abortion was dying. the whole abortion thing went right over my head
