I can patch with that can-of-instant-wall patch shit, but I've never tried drywall before. Did you try the internet, for instructions?

you need some kind of cutting thing (which i know you have) to make the hole in the wall into a square, and some kind of adhesive. on the not paper side, you measure out the hole and draw it on there about an inch to an inch and a half depending on how much you have. you take a razor and cut out the square, peeling off the extra outter edge from the paper part. that way you've got a part to patch the hole and some to glue to the wall. the next part involves spackle, paint, and sanding... but i don't remember that all too well.
