Weird Timing

There was news that just came out about Live Journal

"The company's product managers and engineers were laid off, leaving only a handful of finance and operations workers - which speaks to a website to be left on life support."

May be true. Strong business model run out of Moscow though? (Pictures that Tom guy from myspace getting whacked) haha. If you type ww instead of www lj comes up in russian. They do love it there.

Russia's in a lot deeper shit than we are now. Notice the oil prices? Good for us, but a 70% reduction in a primary source of their income. If the company owns LJ, they were bad ass enough to be in one of the clans that diversified in oil. Any additional financial hits will put them under.
