You know what I thought of as I read your post? I thought, what a great way to move on after a breakup. I mean talk about a literal (and extreme) change of scenery. I think with travel, that it's the coming home part that really makes things feel different. Putting yourself out of context and then jumping back into the old familiar context gives great perspective.
Anyway, my mind is fried since I've been live on 2 or 3 hour stretches of sleep (although I got a whole 4 hour stretch last night!) so forgive me if this is fragmented or incoherent.
