Surgery Update

So after 5 days of laying around popping pills I went back to work yesterday. I worked at the Coop in the morning than delivered City Pages in the afternoon. Even taking it easy and having help it was a bit much for me. I was completely wiped when I got home and was in tremendous pain all night ( Read more... )

I work hard. I play hard. I give life my all. I even gave healing everything I've got. I figured if I worked hard enough at healing I could do it in half the time. But healing is not something you can make happen.

You're absolutely right. You have to surrender and allow it to happen in its own time. Of course I like to learn my lessons the hard way too.

When I was younger, I would do the same thing. I wanted to be well and out and running and I would push myself too early and just end up making things worse.

Some things require a little push but others - perhaps most - will just break if pushed too hard. Just another of those great life lessons.

They did refill my Vicodin for which I am grateful. I just really hope I don't need them after the weekend. I see the doctor on Monday.
