Some stories can't be told. Maybe because of the circumstances, secrecy and NDAs. Others because there was nobody there to see them and pass them on. Many, many stories are lost along with the owner of the tale. But every once in a while, one of these stories gets to see the light of day. Held close and smuggled into view from where they've gone. Whoa! What a tale! I almost had an accident once or twice while swimming that scared sense into me, but I never lost consciousness. Humans are resilient. Glad it ended well.

This is how I imagine death too. Just peaceful and watching as the world slowly fades away. Thanks for sharing this story.
