This is very cool - I love the way you formatted this, and I love the way you unwound the story (if that makes any sense). This quote in particular stood out to me:

One day, Jenny wakes up from a decade long dream and finally understands the difference between loving someone, and wishing you did. For so long, he seemed so important that he became the pillar for everything to measure up to.

Because it's so eloquently (yet pithily!) put, and feels so, so true. It's great that you worked within the 'not-quite-fairytales' theme (this feels tightly plotted, even though the bits and pieces almost don't seem to relate at first). I'm glad Jenny grew up in the end!
