Cayce,

Let me get this straight. You're taking a suggestion from Adam and all you want me for is the booze? Oh, the sad, sad life of a demon. I'm even screwed on the culture part. What am I supposed to celebrate? Uncomfortable office parties?

Tell you what, since I'm evil and everything, you'll get the better drinks if the Doctor doesn't show. Or his little pal.

Crowley,

Well, if you're offering more than booze, I'm all ears. Do tell!

I would suggest celebrating your faux Englishness, if you're looking for ideas. The Cool Britannia version. Wait, that phrase hadn't come into circulation in 1991, had it? Ah, something else you get to look forward to.

It occurs to me now that I should have appended a "no psychotic nutcases" to that invite-although a true psychotic nutcase wouldn't be diverted from crashing, would they? Likewise bored Time Lords, I suppose. But I guess we'll take our chances.

Cayce,

Nono, if you're content to take party planning advice from the bland and countrified source of all evil rather than its impossibly good looking and recherche handmaiden, that's fine with me.

And if you want to celebrate tea and tweediness, I'm not the supernatural being you should be looking at. Besides, you Americans co-opted all our good holidays and left us with Boxing Day. Ta.

A true psychotic nutcase would take that as a personalized invitation. Don't worry about it. I can handle them. Time Lords don't seem to like it much when I mess with the fabric of space/time. Funny how that works...

Crowley,

Hey, Adam only gave me the idea. I'm doing all the planning. So I'm open to input from any and all representatives of evil.

(You guys are being a really bad influence on me, I'll have you know. And I'm beginning to wonder how it is that three of my closest friends here are two demons and a version of Lucifer.)

Oh, I figured Aziraphale had the tea and tweediness all taken care of. But what about cool urban London and all that?

Thanks. In all seriousness, I really am grateful to know that you and Aziraphale are there, among the others with actual powers. I'd be a much more nervous person without someone who could take the psychos; really, I think we all would.

Cayce,

This? Is a fantastic idea. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. Adopted cultures okay?

Daniel,

Thanks! Adopted cultures are more than okay; basically, I'm looking for anything that'll shake up the Disneyland white-bread thing. If you come up with any ideas for stuff to do, I'm definitely taking suggestions.

Cayce,

You should ask Starbuck to teach people that game... Pyramid I think it's called. And I'll make a Senet board and pieces and teach people to play that. And maybe we could do something on name meanings? People could tell what their names mean if they know, and I could probably help some of the humans from Earth if they didn't.

And... food? That's what we always did in school, anyway. I'd be happy to try to make some of the dishes I learned on Abydos, or some of the stuff I used to eat as a kid. And it could be pretty interesting if some of the non-Earth originating people tried some of their own home dishes. Though that might be difficult with not having the right ingredients. Maybe you could get the Doctor to help with that? He's got a pretty extensive larder.

You gonna make everyone dress up?

Daniel,

Good idea with Starbuck there; I'll give her a shout. And I'd be happy to learn Senet. (Incidentally, for what it's worth, I was named after Edgar Cayce by my Virginian eccentric mother. Technically it should be pronounced "Casey", but I don't.)

I was definitely hoping for food, and while I'm not going to make people dress up, it'd be totally delightful if they did. It's really up to everyone how they feel they can best express themselves, but I figured food and clothing would be the easiest way to go. Although I didn't think about the alien ingredients thing. The last time I talked to the Doctor it didn't go quite as well as it could, so I have to confess I feel a bit wonky talking to him. But maybe I'll send him a note anyway.

Kira,

I say that's a brilliant idea, if Setsuna's good with it. So what will this luau entail?

Cayce,

Teaching everyone in a party setting like that might be kind of difficult, since I'm guessing everyone's going to want to mingle and check other things out. But I could have a crash course, maybe. Teach people who are insterested the rules, let them learn some basic moves and then try to pull them all back together on a different day for a full game.

Starbuck,

That sounds great, actually. There's plenty of room out in front of It's a Small World, so we can up whatever you need.
