Instead there was that man. The one that lived in that small blue box (that gave off impossible readings) in Toon Town. He was sitting on the floor, fiddling with the equipment.
Fett walked over, his boots coming to halt by the man's knee. "What are you doing?" Someone else might have said something more dramatic or snarky. Fett preferred getting to the point.

"Oh hello!" he said. "Is this yours? Nice work, I must say. And so compact." Or at least it had been before the Doctor had unwound all the wires. "Most people working with this level of technology would have needed an extra 2/7ths of space here. What's the wire base, derilliam copper?"

"'Course I can. Transmitter, obviously,-you know you have a half-skipping signal? Need to get that fixed, going to make people twitchy. Sunshine was worried I was sick- let's see, here's a neat little button, connected to a splitter, run through a... ah I see! Goes straight to your helmet, does it?" He'd pulled each element out as he spoke, carefully disconnecting each tiny piece from the others and turning it over in his hands. "I like your work."
