How are you all? I miss your faces - and the rest of you, of course!

Please forgive my temporary absence.  I'm immersed into GISH madness, and it's been a crazy busy week for other reasons, other than GISH.

But anyway, I thought I'd drop by to impart some good news that we got today.

I'm so glad he did get a promotion! It sucks it isn't exactly the one he wanted in the first place, but sometimes that happens. :)

It is unfortunate he did not get the job he wanted. But, to get a job that he didn't even have to interview or apply for is an added bonus. As the saying goes; When a door closes, a window opens up somewhere else. Happy for him and his new upgrade.

The civil service is a bit like that, I remember it well! I'm very glad they've giving him something - let's hope they can make it a permanent posting after the 6 months!
