A gift I'm planning to give.

your favorite book (we won't tell any of the others you picked a favorite)
merchandise from a fandom (pick your definition of fandom--sports 100% qualify)
your exercise equipment
the view out a window

Excellent idea! Good luck finding a new idea for the birthday though...! Oh wait a mo - why not do him a portrait of Doughnut for his birthday???

That's a great idea. Might be a bit short of time to get it done in time to send for his birthday, especially as I'm grappling with my Summergen at the moment, but definitely a good idea for Christmas!

This was such a great idea and a portrait of Doughnut will be fab for Christmas - have you come up with a birthday idea yet?

I understand your frustration in what to get the 'rents for their "day" and birthdays. My parents were the same way. They already had more than they needed and anything Mom wanted, she got herself, so what the heck to you get?? Always a conundrum. What a clever idea for your dad. That's so cool. Glad he took it well. Doughnut is very cute.

Good luck with your dad's bday.

It's kind of a nice problem to have, but still frustrating, isn't it! I've found a really nice book of newspaper front pages from WW2. My Dad's really into military history, so I think that's something a bit different, and right up his street, so fingers crossed! :)

Oh that's an awesome gift. My father was the same way. Always interested in and talking about the different wars and their history, etc. He got most all my brothers hooked on the same thing he talked about it so much. I'm sure your dad will love it.

Thank you!
He seemed to like it, he's framed the adoption certificate and hung it on the wall :)

You're welcome!

I'm sure he likes it! It came from you, plus he likes donkeys & I wonder if he could actually go & visit Doughnut the donkey. I think that would be kinda of cool if he could! :D
