I've just realized that Dean's injuries actually came from poor horse-riding skills before the monster actually appeared on the scene. Gads.

Scary isn't it! Broken collar bones are one of the most common serious injuries sustained from equestrian accidents (which is why I used it for this fic). Never had one myself but made up for it with a wide range of other horse-related bumps and bruises over the years!
