Yet another one of those stories that make me wish the SPN writers read the fanfics. This is a story that could be a multi-episode arc.
Great job. Is it wrong that I loved Dean suffering a torture that finally broke him? Not in that "turn on his family" way, but just in the "completely strip him of his cockiness" way? I definitely LOVED seeing Sam get that panicked, then enraged, and then nurturing, all for his brother. I especially liked that just as it looked like it was turning into a purely H/C story, you brought the case back into it. I also loved that you turned Dean's torture into the one way the spirits could be defeated ... and that "defeat" actually meant thousands of innocent souls finding peace. Lastly, I really liked how you took your own country's history and wove it into an SPN story, one that took the boys (well, Bobby) out of America for a while.
Thank you so much - really glad you enjoyed it! The Number Fifty Ghost Berkeley Square is a genuine London 'ghost story', however the background about all the plague pits and witches was all mine!
"you did this, an' it was all down to you defying those two sonsofbitches, so quit whining an' take some friggin' credit for once!" - yay, Bobby you tell him!
A great ending, both funny with all Dean's nicknames for Sam - bride of Frankenstein, hee hee and Sam buying hair dye - and touching, with the spirits of the mother and child saving Dean's life.
As kinkthatwinked said, this would be a great episode of SPN!
