Cakey bits

So here's the wedding cake we did last weekend... I think it went over well, but I have to be honest and say that I was shooting for what was probably an unreasonable level of precision for the finished product - especially for my first cake of this type. Other than the pressure I put on myself, it was a lot of fun to do and I really did enjoy it.

I can't wait to see some more of the actual wedding photos "in context" ☺ for some reason it looked better after we got it there than when we left hehe.

We had to steampunk it up a little to hide some imperfections. It's hard to get "cake" and "sharp angles" into the same sentence :)

Just call it a "Safety Dalek" -- all sharp edges coated with Nerf to protect the wee ones!
