Hrm? What's this about Picasa? I'm experimenting with hosts, I'm too cheap to keep filling Yahoo's pockets and so that I'm over the 200 limit my Flickr pictures are inexorably disappearing one-by-one each time I add another. Google at least is a free service, they only offer 1GB of space, but my 200 Flickr images occupy a fraction of this amount and so I am not too concerned about that, and being Google the space will have probably grown to several times the amount by the time I get anywhere close to using it up.

Photobucket is plain ugly, cluttered and hideous, despite unlimited numbers of "sets."
Free Flickr is only three "sets" and only 200 photos (though if you pay, all the ones which have been pushed out are restored), BUT I like that Flickr lets me set privacy levels AND has a nice clean interface even when free.
I have asked for a Flickr account for Giftmas.
Fotki has a free trial for a couple of weeks, but I ran out of time before I got to experiment with them much.
In theory, Costco lets you set up your print-my-photos account in a way that you can share said photos, but a friend and I tried for three hours one day and never could get it to work.
Anyway, back to Picasa: you and one other of my flist use it, and I can *never* seem to be able to see your photos there when I click on your blog entry, and it drives me wild. I like your photos a lot and frequently want to save a larger version and grrrr RRRRR Picasa keeps rejecting my passwords and giving me crap about it, and then I get busy and forget. :(

Drat them, once again, they won't let me in.
Now I remember why I favor Flickr. Grrr.
Anyway, much love for your blue tree and the photo thereof!
And the sedimentary snow... as a Chicagoan, I can appreciate the geology of snowpiles...
