That all sounds awesome! I can definitely tell you have a vision for your wedding.

I am embarking on some DIYs myself as I have the next month and a half off from work. (Yay for working in public schools!)

I also work at a public school! It seems like the summer is going so fast, but I still have plenty of time to get things done before the school year starts.

I have a question about the Photo Vignettes--are you going to have someone taking pictures or set up a camera? I LOVE this idea, but have no idea how to make it happen.

A little of both-- for one hour after dinner my friend will be taking the photos, but after that he'll just set the camera on a tripod with one of those buttons (you know, it's like a remote control for a camera) and people can take the photos themselves. We're having a pretty small reception so we don't have to worry about anyone walking off with it, not that anyone would anyway, but you never know.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does the tripod come with the button thing or does the camera? lol, I feel so silly asking--I just really love the idea but thought it wasn't doable. You're making it sound like we might be able to pull this off if it isn't terribly expensive. =)

It's an accessory that can be purchased to work with a camera, but I'm not the photography guru (my friend is) so I'm not entirely sure how it works. I'm sure you could ask at a Ritz or something and they'd be able to tell you how it works and how much it is. The other option is using a camera with a timer, and putting a little sign up telling people how to use it, or just leaving the camera and either assigning a few friends to run camera duty for a little while, or just assuming people will find someone to do it themselves.
