My math teacher does bubble shows when she goes through the geometry unit (and she teacher math honors.. it's a bit weird) and she adds glycerine instead of water...

Yes Im adding Glycerol as it does make them last longer, but at $8.75 for 200ml I couldnt possibly add it in replacement of the water :-(

The best mix Ive come up with so far is:

900ml strong kitchen detergent
2ltrs water
2 tablspoons coldwater laundry detergent
25ml glycerine

that's crazy. Couldn't you use a glycerol based soap? Most liquid ones are, i think.

oops - I dont think comments can be edited so Ill just add here that I mixed up the recipe Ive been using.. Its actually only 450ml detergent - I was just making a double mix but forgot to double the other ingredients when I wrote it (by memory) sorry ♥

As I said this does work really well & improves with age, but Id Love to know of other mix's
