A long time friend has decided to end our friendship because I disagree with the gay pride parade. (see the previous post's comments)

No. I have been reading your conservatively-slanted posts for YEARS now, completely welcoming your side of the issues as, just that, your side. If you read my original comment, you would know that I enjoyed seeing the alternate perspective on various issues, even if I didn’t agree with them. And I have said COUNTLESS times in our discussion that I will continue to support your right to believe what you want. If you don’t think that this is an “accepting” attitude, then I really don’t know what is. My wanting to walk away has nothing to do with being open to other opinions, and should not be construed as liberal narrow-mindedness.

If you are implying that I at any point in time said she should be forced to accept my views, then you clearly haven't been reading either one of our posts.

Thats fine. I have no problem with your walking away from a friendship because we have different political/moral views. It just seems a little childish to me, thats all. I guess you just aren't the person I thought you were.
