You know how sometimes you hear a song and it just totally not just fits, but belongs to a character/story/situation?

Didn't so much give me a chuckle as some insight into the character. Or into your relationship with the character, anyway. I don't know the character well enough to laugh at him...

Fascinating. I love this and will save it (lol). You know, I don't think I ever put quite these thoughts/words to the matter before, but you are right. You are entirely right about character/author relationship (and the being one when writing, too).

And that is also a very well-put summation of the particular relationship being discussed here, as well... adding in "touched by moments of fervent vulnerability". (Actually I think that's a very accurate summation of Pepper's relationship with him, too... somehow, knowing *all* his faults, she still chose to love him. But she is often amused.)

And you got all that out of the song, without even really knowing the character. Dang I'm good. *playful-teasing-cheeky grin*
