Fundraising, fertilizer and feminism
Well Rachel has been nominated to go to D.C. to represent Floyd and Virginia in a Youth Leadership. She began her fundraising yesterday to pay for the trip. The first person she called was Uncle Ernie. She really is a cheeky child. While admittedly she knows he has money and would help, she was also very nervous about calling people to sponsor her

Aren't herb gardens just a joy? I have some good Basil, flat Parsley,Rosemary,Melissa (yes really)Sage, Thyme,Chives and Fennel. Some I cook with; others just enhance the look and smell of the borders!!
