I know a few of you are Kindle users--so, it is worth mentioning that I have joined Lendle. Essentially, it is an e-book lending service. You actually get a small kickback for each loan that adds up into Amazon gift certificates.

You can make "friends" on the site--but it doesn't seem to be terribly useful. It is easier to search for the books you ( Read more... )

Of course, the books I have are mostly cheesy romance novels, but such is life.

Yeah, that's kind of the whole point of having them on my Kindle :) I do BookMooch, which is pretty much the same thing with physical books, and there's a fairly swift trade there, too. People get very fond of their chosen genres.

Kindles were MADE for reading cheesy romance novels. I'm afraid to let anyone see my e-book library since it would give away my addiction.

Ooooh I just joined. Unfortunately, half of my books aren't lendable, but I've managed to give two of them away. Romance novel companies- get on top of this!

Yeah, I see that most of them aren't (Harlequin/Silhouette, I'm looking at you...) but I put several of them in anyway.

Kind of a bummer that you can only lend once, but I guess that's better than nothing, DRM-wise.
