While I've been missing Alaska recently, I also realize that California ain't so bad. San Francisco is stupid expensive, and people here work too hard. That said, it has a lot to offer.

skiing! cute baby pics! Genji! whee! It's a trifecta of good for a Sunday afternoon. I still think you'd like Portland, although you will get much better weather in San Francisco - that's for certain. I hope work isn't stressing you out too much. I was thinking about in-house work the other day (as we have an opening in another city and we're trying to lure people in-house to fill it) and I realized I am so spoiled I don't think I'd make it in a law firm anymore, unless it was a law firm filled with coverage geeks like me.

(Also, was that Abby photo taken at a dog park? Because there is a dog park in SF with almost that exact same vantage point that my friends who live in Berkley take their doggies to. It's fabulous.)
