Ah...lovely. Seriously, your writing.

*shakes head*

I'm just going to go ahead and agree with the other commentors before they comment. Cuz I'm sure we'll be of one accord, here.

I've commented on AO3, as you know, but I wanted to add here as well how utterly touched and grateful I am that you wrote me this amazing story. Your writing, as always, leaves me awed: you have such lovely turns of phrase, and your characterisation and internal narrative is so insightful - especially when Robbie's deluding himself and - even in his POV - you make that so clear for the reader. I love your dialogue as well: you have James's reticence and art of the understatement down pat, as well as Robbie's tendency to hide his feelings behind throwaway comments, and his deft handling of James. As well as James's deft handling of him!

And your Laura is, as always, a joy to read. As is your Jean! And I say again: I would dearly love to see James enjoying his few hours of power ;)

Thank you again. This was so generous and thoughtful of you, and as always you've produced such a lovely fic.

It was lovely to see a comment pop up over here too! And you're so welcome - I'm still just delighted that you've enjoyed it. I have a strong pull towards poking at Robbie in that state of gently deluding himself - that pull between his reasoning and yet his intuition underneath it all. And he is highly intuitive in his handling of James sometimes. Yes, James is bloody good at handling him back - possibly even more so than Robbie's worked out *g* It's very good to know that Robbie's thoughts are still coming through as deluding himself though ( ... )
