I just have to say I think it's cool that you bailed and had a soy chai latte on your own! I don't think you should feel like you're a failure. You did go out and gave it a go, but frankly I think people spend way too much time being someone they're not for the sake of appearances.

It sounds like you respected yourself and I think the right situations will come along with time. You know what you want and won't settle for less and I think that is actually super awesome!
