for that matter, argentina, ireland, india, pakistan, liberia and a ton of other countries have all had female heads of state.

but for some reason, our general populace still thinks that they arent capable leaders because of their femaledom.... god

I agree. I think we should have a female leader. Unfortunately, so many Americans are stuck on the idea that women are inferior to men, and can't do as good of a job as them.

I hate to say it, but Kathleen Blanco blew Louisiana's shot of having a female leader for a while to come. I don't think it was because she's a woman, I think it was poor decisions on her part. But many people associate her bad decisions with the entire female race.

men are afraid of the implications of having a woman leader. women are already infiltrating the workforce. there are even stay-at-home dads. think about it: theoretically, we don't even NEED men today (because of advancements in genetic engineering)! testosterone must have gone into these men's brains and cause men to think about their obsoleteness. no wonder why Viagra is so popular with men these days. they simply don't want to be extinct.

that's why the US is one of the few industrialized nations who doesn't have a female leader yet. Men with their ideas :-D. puts a smile on my face.

i say it's not the problem with women. Hilary has her own faults, and many people don't like her because of her husband. I'm telling you, if Opera runs for president, then she will win in a landslide.
