Some of us want to make a difference in this city.

I've been here long enough I might as well be. I know it's not exactly the sort of place we should want to stay, but... some days it's better than home.

Huh? Really? Just how long have you been stuck here?

... what about your home?

I'm still a citizen of Aydensfell. I guess it's one way to deal with being stuck here, though I'd rather not.

Dunno, it sounds a bit like giving up in a way to me.

I mean, if becoming a citizen gave you a lot of benefits, I'll be all over it, but, it just looks useless right now. Just looks like giving up on leaving.

If housing rates were more difficult than pulling leaves off of trees, maybe.

[Giving up... hm.]

It might not be useless for Paixao, though.

Huh? You think they'll get something out of us becoming citizens?

How would that work?

The two aren't mutually exclusive. As long as we're still here, trying to find a way out, better to take advantage of what they're offering.

Doesn't look like they're offering a lot.

And they're not really asking all that much in return.

Well, they don't ask for a lot in the city in the first place... it would be weird if they did for that.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

File in, do what they say. For now.

... it's going to take a lot more then that to get me to follow them to the letter.
