Summary: April 19th will always be a special day to Super Junior
April 19th.
It’s supposed to be a happy day, because Zhou Mi was born, because they celebrate this day whenever their schedule allows it.
April 19th.
The members try their best to be happy around him, one year Henry almost throws the cake at him, stumbling over the streamers lying around in excitement.
But there are numbers, facts, that always put a damper on the mood.
170 stitches
It’s been years now, everyone is healed - but they all remember the overturned car that night, Leeteuk mumbling a name despite his injuries -
He’s still unconscious
- and it doesn’t take long until a solemn silence falls over the group.
Mute, from the shock, the doctors say
Zhou Mi knows, of course, and he smiles (always smiles), not ever begrudging the careful glances thrown Kui Xian’s way as if he might disappear any moment.
Kyuhyun, are you watching?
They don’t treat him like glass, not anymore, but Zhou Mi can see the weariness. Understands it.

Zhou Mi smiles, wraps his arms around Kui Xian’s shoulders, stops him before he can apologize because it’s not his fault.
6 days in ICU
He can smile because it’s just a memory, because Kui Xian is right here, next to him, and they are celebrating.
A Whole New World
He is fine now, they are fine, and even though this day will always stay on their minds they can now fill it with happier memories too.
