As an explanation, both the Ryou in Shishido's and Kisarazu's name are written with the 亮 kanji ♥
Their first impression of each other is mainly a misunderstanding. Choutaroh sees “亮“ Ryou on the door of his roommate-to-be, and is happy, because he had never thought he would actually get to live with Shishido-senpai, who also goes to this university.
When he flings the door open all he sees is long, black hair and a small frame, and he rushes over to glomp the boy, a big smile on his face. He hadn’t seen senpai for so long already.
Ryou, on the other hand is quite taken aback when he is suddenly attacked from behind, when he was just peacefully brooding over his homework. he grits his teeth, thinking it must be his senpai again. He likes to play pretend Ryou is a girl and molest him as if he were senpai’s significant other. So he lashes out with his elbow, blinking in surprise when he hears a completely unfamiliar voice cry out in pain.

Their second impression of each other follows right after, when Choutaroh realizes, it is in fact not Shishido-senpai whom he just hugged so fiercely. He blushes a deep shade of red and hastily apologizes, to embarrassed to even try to explain what happened. New-roommate-san looked terribly angry. He hadn’t wanted to upset anyone.
Ryou, though, is quite mortified himself. This boy surely had meant no harm, and now he is kneeling there and apologizing, when Ryou was the one who had elbowed him in the gut. So, a faint red hue on his cheeks, he makes the boy stand up (damn, was he tall) and tells him there is nothing to be sorry for. Though convincing him of that takes the better part of the two hours left until dinner.

Their third impression happens the morning after, when Choutaroh thinks it would be a good idea to take a shower before Ryou (he had been strictly forbidden to call him Kisarazu-senpai) wakes up, so they wouldn’t bump into each other. He is still not quite sure if he is really forgiven for hugging the other out of the blue. What he does not take into account is, that Ryou, being a light sleeper, is woken up by the sounds of the running water. So, in all his glorious nakedness, save for a towel slung around his waist, he walks in on the other boy. Who apparently is just changing. Choutaroh blushes, rushing back into the bathroom (while mentally noting that Ryou even has kind of the same build as Shishido-senpai).
Ryou, however, is quite confused why exactly Choutaroh rushes out again like that, as if he had seen a ghost. They are both guys after all, and there was nothing they hadn’t both seen before. So, dragging his new kohai out of the bathroom he proceeds to drill that into the other’s head for the next couple of days.

Their fourth impression (though Ryou would argue this is totally not any sort of impression at all) is of quite a different sort. It happens half a year into the new term, when Choutaroh suddenly has Ryou pinned down on his bed and is kissing the living daylights out of him. Of course, Ryou struggles, and somehow manages to get Choutaroh off him after a little while, but he cannot deny it felt kind of nice.
For Choutaroh, kissing Ryou seems quite natural. Because sometime (he does not know when it had happened) Shishido-senpai had become similar to Ryou, and Ryou wasn’t “like Shishido-senpai” anymore. Ryou is Ryou, and even if their names have the same kanji, his Ryou is a lot different from Shishido-senpai. Different in a good way. A way that he thinks he is really falling in love with.
