Saeki likes mornings best when it’s winter and cold and Ryou fell asleep before kicking him out the night before. Because it is only then that he gets to watch the other, completely unguarded, hair fanning out around him, miraculously barely knotted up. He still wonders just how Ryou does that.
But he likes it even better when he gets to pull the blanket off, since it will make Ryou curl up and snuggle against him, subconsciously reaching out for the only source of warmth available. The sun shining right into the window won’t wake them, Saeki knows, because Ryou hates mornings. He learned the hard way when he tried to kick him out of bed the first time he stayed over. Ryou had not taken kindly to snow dumped into his bed.
But Saeki had decided he could get by like this, because, even if he couldn’t tease Ryou mercilessly (and make him shut up appropriately when he started bitching), it was still nice watching him like this. His Ryou.
