Atobe was furious. That imprudent little runt had dared deny knowledge of ore-sama’s magnificent person, right after ore-sama had stooped down to his level and deigned address him casually like that. No one was allowed to ignore Atobe Keigo like that, and considering that person did not even have any form of capital to speak of (he went to a public school after all), he wondered how he could have even thought of such a blasphemous act.
No, ore-sama was not going to stand for that. After all he had recognized the existence of a pauper and he had to make sure Kamio Akira would do the same.
“Kabaji. We’re going to the street tennis courts.”
“Usu.”
Kamio was stumped. Completely and utterly confused. Scatterbrained. Maybe his mind had blanked out for a minute or two, too. Atobe Keigo had come up to him and requested a date with “ore-sama”, should “ore-sama” beat Kamio in a match. And then underlined that demand with a rose seemingly pulled out of nowhere and a soft kiss planted onto his hand. He grimaced.
“Sorry, I don’t do annoying, self-absorbed narcissists on their ego trips.” And then walked away. He had a date with An-chan and Tachibana-san after all.
