Yeah, I think Yukimura in this doujinshi is one of the cutest things I've seen in manga. :3 But I guess my favourite is still that bratty, self-centered Masamune - I think he's really very cat-like here. ^_^
As for the sequel you can see it here. The style seems to me slightly different, I don't know, as if even more cute, and that's a bit too much for me. ^_^'
Thanks so much for the link! Didn't notice any difference in style, but there were some tantalizing glimpses of further hijinks. On the 1st page, looks like Dog and Walker have just returned refreshed from a bracing jaunt, but Cat (not being a fan of organized team exercise) is unimpressed. Then on the 2nd page, it's the other pet's turn to be all pouty and precious (guess it's true that bad boys -- no matter how old -- are more attractive to women and fangirls).
I agree that cute-without-cloying can be a delicate balance, but I think the artist did well by not trying too hard and achieving an almost inadvertent cuteness-by-coincidence. Of course, everyone's tolerance varies. (Have to admit that I've got a bit of a sweet tooth!)
In case you haven't already seen it, YukiMitai just scanlated Basara DJ: Sweet, which has what could be grown-up versions of the characters in your raw. MasamuNeko is still a finicky feline, while YukInu is the same eager-to-please pup -- but their "petting" is heavier now...Reply

Since I can't stay away from kemonomini chibis myself, I appreciate you overcoming your aversion to share this.
My favorite bits of fluff:
Maigo_009 -- kitten!Masamune making a funny sulky face while Keiji squeezes his chubby cheeks
Maigo_010 -- puppy!Yukimura standing timidly with tiny paws nervously clutching the front of his shirt and wide eyes silently imploring
There's a sequel? More cuteness, please!
