the funny thing is, that's the question a lot of theorists are asking. If I had more time to talk, I would have connected the dots on auteur vs. author, but there just wasn't time, so I had to assume a base knowledge of the audience. Anyway, the important thing isn't the difference between Auteur and authorship, but just the evolution of the theory of singular authorship (often called auteur theory).

i agree with you that authorship is getting more ambiguous, but remains (along with intentionality) really relevant.
