Last weekend I finished the book 'The Green Mile' by Stephen King. I can tell you it's even better than the movie! Anyway, during most of the reading, I listened to Ashbury Heights, and now when I listen to it, I automatically connect it to the book, or even characters in the book. Hmm, usually when a book has got me engrossed within its pages I seem to shut out almost all other sensory input. People have been known to tell me that they called my name a certain amount of times before getting a reaction, so no music linked to books for me. Music is linked to other aspects of my life/past though like this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-LTTkhKeLk and this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrxQ0vtdB10
Both are part of one of the moments with the greatest impact on me, and I can never listen to them without remembering that. So yes, music does release memories only just no connections to books.

Whole albums get stuck to books, cause mostly I read on train rides with my mp3 playing. So when I hear the Bomfunk MC's, i Think about "Stranger in a strange land". "Old man's war" is connected to Van Canto. The list goes on.
