[ In a field with only a river and small bits of foliage nearby, rests Nathan. He's currently sitting against his sleeping bobcat and carving a hunk of wood with his dagger. The weather is warm and the sky is clear, adding to the tranquility of the scene.
What is the elf carving? Well, you'll just have to get closer and find out. ]

When she finally reaches Nathan's side, she flops onto the grass on her back and grins up at the sky.]
The world needs more beautiful days like this. [She takes a deep breath, and lets it out with a soft "Mmmm~"]

It's got plenty of beautiful days. You just notice the poor ones more.

I notice the good ones plenty. That doesn't mean there can't be more of them.

Hmm. Bouteloua curtipendula, as is expected. Though at this time of year-- [and he double checks that, looking up at the sun, his watch, and then back down at the grass]-- I would expect it to be more of a blue-green color than a brown-green. Perhaps it's a new subspecies, or a cousin. It's possible if they haven't tried to reverse the effects of specialization and habitat destruction yet. Which would make this place more of a preserve-
-oh, hallo, is that an actual bobcat? A domesticated example, as far as I can tell, though his size and color is consistent with what I've studied. How did you come by him? He's beautiful, I must say. [And he is steadfastly approaching without regard to personal space since, you know, these things were tame in his time.]

Meanwhile, Hiery has obviously woken up and seems wary of the newcomer, but senses no threat from him just yet, and so doesn't dislodge his companion to attack. ]
... we met several years ago. He was being hunted, and I aided him in escape. We've been mostly inseparable since. I'm sorry, what was that about the grass? It's perfectly healthy for the season it's in.
