A loud crashing sound signaled Noir's approach down the stairs. He landed at the bottom with a "thud!" Followed by another body crashing ontop of him

There was a rushing sound in Noir's ears, a sensation like falling as his gut flipped over and over again. But instinct and muscle memory kicked in and powerful arms linked around her. One hand on her upper back the other on her lower. Each one skilled at the delicate art of cooking, and the less then delicate art of destruction.
The taste of her lips brought on waves of memories, from the very first time they met in a cave just outside of Jump City to the first time in the digital world he had heard her voice.
His body hadn't changed much since she'd frozen even in the time that had passed. But he'd let his hair go. His scruffy face.
But it was all still there, the goofy, short fused passionate madman she had fallen for.
"I...scruff...huh?" The heat of the moment seemed to have stunned Noir into complete shutdown of his thoughts and it was having trouble doing a hard reset.
"I kept telling him that he needed to shave and get a haircut. No one wants to eat at a place where the cook has facial hair. It feels unsanitary." Pico chimed in shamelessly.
Despite the conditions of Noir's powers keeping him in grey scale, he was clearly blushing so brightly it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine it as bright red even through the scratchy facial hair.
"Who are you kidding? We've been through more then a couple end of the worlds." He managed to joke coming down off cloud nine and smiling that begrudging smile, like he as having trouble believing that nice things could still happen to him even after all these years.
"Right!" New determination blossomed on Noir's face. "Well the Onsen is through the park, we can get there pretty quick if the park isn't all chewed up."
"Which it probably is." Pico pointed out.
"We'll be fine!" Noir called and then as if the gods of chaos had chosen this exact moment to punish Noir for his run of good luck, with his very first step the ground crumbled beneath them.
Because Noir Mendetta and Gravity are mortal enemies.

Instead of kissing him again, she pushes up on her tiptoes and brushes her nose against his, dropping down again moments later.

"A-anything you say." He laughed nervously. It wouldn't be the first time he'd fallen from Tetha but he didn't want a repeat of last time either.
