Teleportation via lamp post? It occurred to him just how unfair it was that they didn't have that technology back home. He seems to recall age old promises of cities in the sky and flying cars, as well as teleportation from the science fiction films, but two centuries into the information and space age, he has yet to see something like that.

Then again, maybe he was just excited by the prospect of this bar Duo was bringing him to. Famed for karaoke? Hell yes. He'd been in a band in his teen years up through his second year of college. Once he arrived in Neon City however, he was distracted by the sighs and sounds as he waited for Duo get himself over as well.

"I think I'm starting to like this place."

"Got a bit of a Tokyo-New York-Vegas vibe, dunnit?" Duo commented as the walked along, hands in the pockets of his thick black sweatshirt. He didn't mind living in Axoryi with Allen, but any excuse to visit Neon was a good one, be it just hanging out or going to bug some one he knew.

But for once today he wasn't going to the Hyperion to pester Haku or anyone else. No, he was showing Sam the sights, and as soon as "karaoke" came up he knew where to go. Sure there was the actual Japanese-styled Karaoke bar in Axyori, but they would have other chances to go there. For now it was the place that everyone knew - Caritas Bar.

"Yeah, it does." He adjusted the collar of his jacket, walking along the side walk with his younger companion as he took in what he could of all these buildings and interesting architecture.

"That it up ahead?" He said, gesturing at a whitish building a few buildings down.

"Yup, that's it," Duo said as the familiar building came in to view. He visited it often enough to know it just from the outline. It stuck out a little from the rest of the city, since it sat a bit away from the main line of buildings on the road and didn't quite match the style of the rest of them.

Ratchet had only been here a total of four days so far and already he was comparing it to home. Tech was definitely almost on par with what he was used to, though some of it disappointed him. The people were winning out though. He had great friends back home but he was slowly making ones here, and at least they didn't ask for something in return when they wanted a favor done. So ups and downs. But tonight, the Lombax was feeling a little more down. Homesickness was kicking in and with it a realization. He could never go home. And it was that realization and brought him down here to the bar. This wasn't something he wanted to talk about, let alone could. So he was doing the best best thing.

He was going to drink it away.

So he walked in and quickly took up one of the stools and waited for someone to come to him. He didn't mind waiting and was definitely glad it was slow tonight. He didn't want to be around that many people.

Ever since the fight with Kouki, and his sparring session with Sadamitsu that followed, Rin had been slightly more reluctant to do anything outside of the Hyperion. He knew better than to hole himself up in his apartment all day doing nothing (that would have driven Yukio nuts anyway) but he worried more now about the fact that he simply couldn't stay out of trouble

Ratchet was lost in his thoughts, staring into his drink, tail slowly whipping back and forth. He was wondering what was happening back home...if there was one even left. Had Clank stopped Alister or had Alister gotten into the Orvus chamber? He knew what would happen if the latter happened. And he took another drink, one for ever thought he didn't like.

His ears twitched when he heard the voice behind him. He set his glass down and looked over his shoulder. He blinked at the person behind him. He was tall, pointy ears, messy black hair and a tail. He remembered Haku pointing him out to him once he thought. He just couldn't remember his name. Well might as well start with answering his question. Maybe talking to this guy would help take his mind off things.

"Yeah. That's me. Names Ratchet."

"... Rin," the teen replied shortly, glancing at the spot next to him, "Looks like you could use some company."

He didn't comment on Ratchet's appearance. He really didn't need to. Haku had already explained to him that Ratchet wasn't a demon or anything like it. Not that Rin knew what a "Lombax" was any more than Haku did, but she went on to state that people from different universes showed up there all the time.

Hanako was just wandering around the Hyperion, and decided to stop in and see her Uncle Lorne for a bit. She made her way up to the bar and climbed awkwardly up onto the stool, kneeling on it and grinning happily at Lorne.

"Hiiiii!"

Lorne's face was a million volt smile the minute he saw her, "Hiiiii!" He parroted back to her leaning into the bar and grinning at her, "And hows our favorite little android today?"
