Neon City was cold this time of year, and Duo never much cared for it, not in the way Quatre loved the snow and the winter chill. But he was bundled up enough, a thick red, black and white scarf around his neck and heavy winter jacket on along with a pair of black fingerless gloves. For once Finn was on his shoulder and actually chatting away with him as the two walked through the park. They were heading for the shopping district, Duo planning on finishing up his Christmas shopping for the month on one of his few days off

It didn't take spidersenses to be aware when someone couldn't take their eyes off you. In fact The Beldam was so used to it she often forgot it was happening. But today she felt the sensation tickling away at the back of her neck deliciously and she turned every so gently to glance at the boy in question and offer a sweet, demure smile.

Oh what fun had she found for herself today?

Duo awkwardly returned the smile with his own smile and a wave, uncertain as to why he suddenly felt so uncomfortable. At a distance he could tell her eyes were unnaturally dark and rather big but he couldn't see what was making them that way.

"You know her, brah?" Finn asked, obviously confused.

"Not at all... we should get going..." Duo answered quietly, though his feet did not move.

She approached him smiling, and from her handbag produced a candy cane offering it to them both. The smile was so soft and warm it was like a heater in the chill of December.
