Master of the grill, king of the coals, Lorne stood spatula at the ready and an apron with the all too classic "Kiss the cook" emblazoned on it.
With ease and grace he flipped a sizzling patty so it would cook properly on both sides before turning to greet whomever had come up to his side with a bright smile, "What can I get for you?"

"Double decker cheese burger with bacon!" Paulo had come to the party for fun and food. And he brought his appetite! He was wearing a pair of swimming trunks and a wife beater shirt. Finally the feline was wearing clothes in public.

"Coming up Gato~" Lorne sing songed as he added some fresh crispy bacon onto one of the grilling patties, "Having fun?" He added glancing around "Not exactly a wild and crazy party but a nice break eh?"

Paulo licked his lips as he watched his food cook. "I'm having a blast, dude. I'm sure some people are just being fashionably late. You know how that goes."

"Nice moves," Paulo took the plate and took in the smell of the delicious food, "I've been alright. Adjusting to all of this. Still healing up from my last monster run in. But I have a friend from home here now, so it's not all bad. And I got myself a...well...a boyfriend." Paulo flashed a nervous grin at Lorne. He was still kind of new to this whole boyfriend thing. It felt weird saying it really.

Lorne laughed and reached for a frosty fruity drink he had resting on the side of the grill. "Which in particular? Save yourself the trouble just ask me what you're worried about."

Lorne laughed again, "Well I could see where it would be a mood killer, but you probably could have handled things a little better." He smiled that warm teasing smile, "But I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know "Strudel". You know how you feel about that boy regardless of how strange he is."

Paulo blushed at the Studel comment and looked away. Damn it all, he hoped that wouldn't catch on for a nickname for him. "I guess I could have. I really like how strange he is. It makes it fun." He smiled and blew his bangs out of his eyes.

"Oh you know, business as usual." He smirked and set his drink down taking a few more orders from some passers by and putting fresh meat on the grill. "I keep my ears open to make sure our little slice of heaven gets by with only the occasional incident. I have to admit I don't like what I'm hearing lately."
