Shiba Takeru strode up behind the older man, hands in his pockets. Coronamon was at his heels, the lion giving a small wave to BushiAgumon as they neared.

"Kenshin," Takeru said as he came to a stop. "You called?"

As a swordsman himself, it had been easy for Takeru to recognize a fellow warrior at first glance, all those months ago. Even only having seen him unsheath his sword once, that Kenshin was a veteran of his craft was something that had always been evident.

Living in the same place for awhile, they had occasionally found themselves in conversation and finding common ground. At the least, Takeru found a certain amount of respect for the older man, even though in the end he knew he didn't know much about him.

BushiAgumon returned the wave, while Kenshin turned and nodded, smiling. "Ah, yes. Greetings, Tono-sama," Kenshin said, that last bit with just the slightest hint of amusement.

Takeru resisted a roll of his eyes, but strode ahead a few more paces, smirking, until he was up beisde the other samurai. "Fealty doesn't exactly suit you, Kenshin."

Coronamon eyed BushiAgumon. "What about him?"

BushiAgumon snorted, raising a claw. "I serve no Lord! Asuka is-"

Kenshin gently waved a hand, shaking his head. "Bushi, not now."

BushiAgumon grit his fangs, but crossed his arms and nodded. Kenshin turned back to look at Takeru, still smiling.

"It is however a pleasant day, is it not, Takeru?"
