Once everyone was seated, Alice took up a microphone from the judge's table and addressed the audience

Vivio's eyes widened a bit when she realized that she would be having the first match right away. That was... actually a bit of a relief. She wasn't going to have to worry about not being able to see what the others were able to do and getting scared and nervous about how good everyone else was.

She was already heading over to the mat, doing a few stretches as she waited for her opponent to get there with her.

It hadn't taken long at all for the rest of Kazuma's family to find out about the tournament, so naturally they were all there to cheer him on. Yumi was, as usual, being the loudest one possible, shaking her plastic megaphone in the air and shouting noisily.

He tried to ignore her when his name came up, but she certainly wasn't making it easy. Alice and Suoh looked amused since they both knew about how odd his family could be at times.

Kazuma sighed, rolling his shoulders a little as he approached the mat.

"If both contestants are ready..." Alice said, looking to both of them. Kazuma nodded.

Vivio smiled, looking over at Kazuma before she nodded and sunk down into a fighting stance. "I'm ready! I think this match is going to be fun!"

Round 1: Kazma vs Jade

Yumi had of coarse come in full support of her young nephew, complete with a home made megaphone for which to cheer with.

Now during the intermission she was trolling for snacks lamenting her lack of funds...and a proper Digimon partner like the rest of the family. She had borrowed some Bits from Mansuke with a promise that she would pay him back despite him saying it wasn't a problem.

...just when she had begun to relax he told her it didn't matter because he was planning on having her make him lunch every day for a week, every morning before he set out looking for more steady work.

Well, it would be worth it provided she could find a corndog. She was really jonesing for a corndog.

Suoh looked at the corndog that had been handed to him by his diminutive partner, Hyoko's silent way of saying "you need to eat something". On top of lacking decent restful sleep, his eating habits had also gone down hill. Both Quatre and Haku had made note of it, but he claimed he was just snacking throughout the day rather than eating full meals. It wasn't entirely a lie...

The corndog really did not look appetizing to him, though, and he was about to just throw it away when Yumi crossed his path.

"Excuse me," he said, "Are you Kazuma-kun's aunt?"

Yumi stopped short and smiled politely, "Oh hello, Yes. I'm Yumi Jinnouchi." She inclined her head politely. She was still getting used to how many people Kazuma had come to know in the time he'd been away from home.
