Tei was a mess. It had been days since she'd left her trashed apartment, broken and covered in splattered blood from the injury she had given Doctor Finitevus, and she had only gotten worse since then. Several tamers had already sustained non fatal injuries from her when they tried to approach the dirty, broken android to ask her what was wrong. Every time she had panicked and attacked them, but she was trying so hard to keep from actually killing people, she would run before the situation got too out of hand

She wanted to hug him back. She wanted to believe everything was really going to be okay. But all she could see was the blood on her dirty hands, and all she could remember was how quickly things had gone bad.

She shoved Nokoru back from her, not hard, but enough to get him to let go of her.

"I'm sorry, Nokoru-kun..."

That Tei was trying to push him away hurt more than he wanted to think about. Right now he wanted to focus on helping her, not how he felt about it. "No. Tei-chan, please come with me. You said to help you no matter what, no matter what you said. Please...why can't you trust me?"

"I can't trust myself..." Tei admitted, her voice cracking with emotion. "I hurt him, Nokoru-kun! I hurt Fini-san!"

[clampnokaichou]

"But you didn't really want to did you?" He asked, starting to feel frustrated.

[declarewaron]

"N-no! ... I don't know!" the UTAU cried out, digging her bloody hands in to her hair painfully. "H-he had your pin and he was going to destroy it because I wouldn't tell him who you were! I just wanted it back!"

[clampnokaichou]

"I'm really sorry, Tei-chan. I really just want to help you...because I care about you Tei-chan. And that isn't going to change. I'm not going to give up on you Tei-chan, not ever! If you have to choose between my safety and your own...I want you to choose your own."

[declarewaron]

Tei shook her head, but this time it was less frantic. She stepped closer to him, reaching a hand out to touch him but stopping when she saw the blood on it again.

"Not for me... it wouldn't be for me... he knows who you are now..." she said, letting out a sob while pulling her hand back to her chest. "P-please... just forget about me...! Forget your promise! One way or another I'm only going to get you hurt!"

She turned away with every intent of running away from him.

Hugging her from behind, he buried his face in Tei's hair. "I can't...I can't go back on a promise I made to you. Or anyone."

She stumbled when he hugged her, barely able to keep her knees from giving out on her.

"N... Nokoru-kun... I can't..."

[clampnokaichou]

"Don't say that Tsi-chan. You can...and I'll help you. I'm not going to leave you or abandon you. Not when you need me, Tei-chan."

[declarewaron]

Tei went quiet, panting heavily as though she was out of breath. Her systems were giving quiet warnings that her energy was running low, to run out within the next day if she continued on the way she was going.

She wanted to believe him, but everything had just gotten so out of hand within the past week. They had been so happy together before then...

But she had left to protect him, and in the end she had only made things worse. She didn't want to drag anyone down with her.

Her hand slipped in to her skirt pocket, pulling out the pin. She took his right hand and put it in his palm, closing his fingers around it. Her hand lingered over his for a second after.

"I'm sorry..."

She pulled away again, and this time she bolted, running as fast as her legs could carry her away from Nokoru.

"Tei-chan!? Wait, Tei-chan please stop!" He called after her, as he tried to chase her, the pin pressing painfully into his hand as he ran.

She didn't stop, and she didn't call back to him. Instead Tei focused on getting her D-Comm out, pulling up a completely random location. She rounded a corner, heading right for the closest lamp post.
