"We are over here!" Raito's voice called out from inside the tree line. If Reiko followed her voice she's find Raito sitting up against a tree on a bed of leaves, his crutches sitting beside him. His partner, an Impmon, was standing by him, her eyes scanning the area.

Reiko picked her way carefully through the vegetation, trying to keep herself from tripping in the fading evening light and forest shadows that obscured so much of what was in front of her.

Luckily when she reached Raito, there was enough of a swatch of orange sunset light coming through that she could see him clearly.

She hesitated, coming to a stop a few feet from him and stuffing her hands in her baggy coveralls and rocking back on her feet. Her eyes went to the crutches with a sad look, but she didn't comment on them.

"Aloha."

Rai did smile at her and gave a wave.

"Hello. Um...can you help me up? Marie isn't strong enough..." He was a bit embarrassed having to ask this woman...his sister...for help. He never liked it much but right now he had no choice.

Rei made a face. She wanted to hug him. She wanted to hug him tight and never let go. But he didn't know her, and she even had to admit that he really didn't look like the same twiggy little kid who would sit on his surf board and read books anymore. Hugging him would probably just be weird for the both of them, and a little painful for her. It was hard enough standing there knowing that this near-adult boy was her brother in body and name, but not in mind.

"... I'll probably have to carry you. It's pretty rough walkin' through here."
