She had suspected something was up, but she knew Taichi well enough to know he was going to stumble over it until he finally got it out. Sora herself just had to be patient and let him babble until he said it.
And she was good at that.
"Taichi?" She asked, leaning forward a little.
Come on, you can say it.
Outside, Piyomon gasped, extending her wings and trying to make grabby claws for the binoculars.
Agumon snickered, and handed her the binoculars. "Fine! Me, I'm going in for a closer look!"
The small dinosaur leaped off the branch, and ran for the window.
---
Taichi took a deep breath, and closed his eyes. He could do this.
"... Um... like... like I said, Sora, I don't want things unsaid anymore. This world, it's too dangerous, and... I don't want something to happen without me getting a chance to... to put it into words..."
His knuckles were white as he gripped the table.
"Takenouchi Sora, I... you're the most important thing in my life right now..." he began.
"Be careful! Don't get caught!" Piyomon warned and, after a few moments, followed him. Can't let Agumon out on his own, right?
Sora smiled, blushed a little, and reached across the table to take Taichi's hand in hers. She was going to remain quiet until he finished, but she could offer at least a little bit of something to hopefully calm down.

"Ooh, let me see, let me see!"

Taichi's face was beet red by now.
"... I... I..."
His expression hardened and he looked Sora directly in the eyes.
"I know this is going to take a while to make happen, but... I don't care... it's a promise... Sora, I want to spend the rest of my life with you..."
