Black nodded and opened a Warp Ring. The BlackV-mon disguise was already engaged. The ring would take them to one of the nearby warehouses. They would watch it all happen from there and the real BlackV-mon was already waiting.

"Let us go." the digimon stepped through the ring, leaving it open for Alyssa to follow.

Daigo stood almost stone-still in the center of the scrapyard, save for a steady rise and fall of his shoulders. His arms hung at his sides, rather than crossed across his chest as he was normally inclined to do. Finitevus's ring was successful in suppressing his personality, but what they hadn't counted on was the wild beast that lurked beneath the surface. Daigo was a force of nature, carefully controlled and maintained by the codes and beliefs that Daigo held himself to. Without that behavior guiding him, he was aggressively prone towards fighting, an angry soul at the helm of a body that could fight a well-armed gang and come out unscathed and victorious.

The orders the he'd been given were all that kept him from pacing like a caged animal, all that would keep him from blowing their trap before it could be sprung.

Alyssa fiddled with her D-reader for a moment before realizing three spherical devices. Lifting off from her hands, they revolved around her for a second before Alyssa gave them the mental order to them to go hide themselves in the junk piles. They would be Alyssa's eyes and ears for this battle.

She took one last look at Daigo and noticed his posture. "Daigo take your usual posture, and try not to frighten them off before you can disable Miria. She will likely try great you with a hug, so at least try to look a little welcoming. Put on a "happy to see you smile", cross your arms across your chest like you usually do, and act like your usual self until we are ready to pounce on them." With that, she turned and followed Black into the warp ring.

With that order, Daigo's body language shifted. He straightened his posture and crossed his arms. Daigo's appearance was particularly welcoming, but a smile found its way to his lips nonetheless.

Daigo's eye twitched, and he stared up at Nanoha, his lone eye taking in the light show with deliberate, calculating stillness. As the Accel Shooters began their wide range attack, Daigo reached up to his head with both of his hands. He clutched at his forehead in apparent agony, his digisoul subsiding momentarily. But it was only for the moment.

His arms shot down, moving clear of his head, and Daigo let loose with a maddened scream. His digisoul exploded outward again, engulfing him with a sound not unlike raging flames igniting a room full of gas. The blaze of digisoul expanded out from him, engulfing the debris field that Nanoha was firing at him from all directions and pummeling it into a fine, harmless powder.

Several seconds later, the digisoul died down, and Daigo was panting in exertion as he stared up at Nanoha some more. His eye widened when another roar filled the air in the absence of the roar of his digisoul.

Akira's bike came flying over the wall of the scrap yard, and it hit the ground and raced across the mostly clear field. Akira shot past Rei, under Nanoha, and straight towards Daigo. Behind her on the bike, Goblimon was clinging to her, and Black Gaomon was nowhere to be seen.

Daigo raised his arms in front of him, prepared to block whatever Akira threw at him, and Akira launched herself off the bike as she neared him. With the momentum of her bike behind her, she launched a flying kick straight at his block. Goblimon grabbed the handlebars of the bike and pulled it back under control, and Akira struck Daigo's blocked just as harmlessly as any of the other attacks that had been thrown at him. She bounced off of his arms, and landed in a fighting stance several feet away from him, and she turned her head to look up at Nanoha.

"If you're just gonna get mad at him, why don't you help that other girl?!" she yelled. "I've got no use for you if you're gonna talk to him with THOSE fists!"

When Akira turned her head, Daigo was quick to seize on it. He rushed her, and threw a brutal haymaker at her helmet-covered head.

But Akira was having none of that. As Daigo swung, Akira ducked slightly to the side and raised her palm, brushing the punch to the side where it did nothing but throw Daigo off balance. And she capitalized on that, placing her foot in front of his and guiding her hand behind his head. She tripped him expertly, and he went skidding across the ground.

She turned to look at him and shook her head. "Sorry I'm late, Nii-san," she said frustratedly. "But you didn't have to insult me with a blow like that. I'm not so helpless that you can take me down that way..."

"I remember everything," Daigo said grimly, breathing slowly and catching his breath. "And I will tell you everything. I murdered Miria under the control of Finitevus's partner. ... There's more, but I don't think we're going to have time to go into that. They're nearby. They wanted to be close by..."

He glanced around warily.

Daigo's guess was dead on, as almost immediately a wall of a nearby warehouse was rended by an explosion. A black blur shot out from the cloud of smoke and launched several missiles at the unwelcome newcomers just before coming to a stop a little less then fifteen yards from Daigo.

"Now, now, Daigo. Did you really have destroy the ring? Do you have any clue how hard they are to come by now that the good doctor is dead?" Alyssa grumbled with her arm's folded over her chest.

The doctor stood in the warehouse, watching from the hole Alyssa had just made. He was still in his BlackV-mon disguise. It would seem part of their plan had succeeded but now Daigo was free of his control.

If one good thing came of this, it would be with what Alyssa just said. This would further protect the story of his death. And if Alyssa could do it, she could kill all of these DATS members now that they were weak. That would be counted as a powerful victory for the doctor.

"So predictable," Daigo said, sounding frustrated as he turned towards the explosion. Alyssa's missiles careened towards him and the others, and his Digisoul flared to life once again. He settled into a relaxed stance, and he stood his ground as the missiles approached. He could take the blast if the others couldn't shoot them down.

As it turned out, he wouldn't have to. Even as Alyssa loosed her missiles, Nanoha was ready for them. Several spheres of energy took shape around her, and she snapped Raising Heart forward.

[Accel Shooter]

The tiny orbs shot out from around her and streaked through the air, slamming into the missiles and detonating them before they had a chance to reach their targets. "Alyssa!" Nanoha called out through the explosions, fixing her gaze on the HSAT and holding Raising Heart up in front of her.
